ANDY GUTIERREZ _ EXPERIENCE DESIGNER / AUDIO VISUAL ARTIST

Andy Gutierrez was born in Kealakekua, Hawai‘i and raised in Los Angeles, California. He is a 2017 alumnus and current faculty member of ArtCenter College of Design, where he teaches in the Spatial Experience department. After graduating, Andy spent four years living and working in Tokyo as a Spatial Designer, creating exhibitions and experiential environments for clients such as Google, IBM, Nissan, and the Japanese government.

Beyond spatial design, Andy works as an audiovisual artist exploring Max/MSP, TouchDesigner, and Ableton. His practice is driven by an ongoing search for connections between the synthetic and the natural—examining how these relationships shape the spaces we inhabit and the sounds that surround us.
